Co-ords are bang on trend this season. Look, we’re not asking you to replicate Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears’ all denim outfits of the early 2000s. Some of you will be old enough to remember and if you’re not then just google it for a cheap laugh. Ridiculously, awful yet inspiring at the same time. It gave us the nod to wear all denim ensembles even if ours are a bit more on trend than denim bell bottoms and a matching denim cowboy hat.
The co-ords trend has taken the fashion world by storm recently. You can get so many variations whether it be floral prints or crochet 2 pieces. A co-ord look involves a matching set, but you can mimic the trend with similar patterns or colour choices. It’s a look that implies a sophisticated fashion sensibility without being too difficult to pull off.
Here, the co-ord-inspired looks that are shaping our closets this fall.
Plaid on Plaid
Make plaid on plaid work by teaming plaid shorts with a plaid halter neck top in the same colour way. Team them up with some white ankle boots and a yellow clutch bag to break the outfit up.
Try wearing a fine knit orange jumper with a trench coat in different shade or orange. If you want to go all out orange add pops of orange throughout the rest of your outfit. We love incorporating orange into our statement jewellery.
Blue on Blue
A blue scarf cleverly used as headwear will instantly elevate your blue top to new heights. Break the blueness up with a jacket in a neutral shade such as tan or stone.
Most denim-on-denim looks use two pieces of clothing. Go for an unconventional yet chic look by wearing a triple threat.
Look classy and chic by matching a white midi dress with an off-white cardigan and white bucket bag. Add bright orange boots for a pop of colour.
